In recent weeks two very different projects have seen thirty mounted bird specimens head to Sewerby Hall for a Cultural Olympiad project whilst two of the world famous paintings by Atkinson Grimshaw are part of an exciting new exhibition in Harrogate.
Landscape Revisited
18/08/2011 A completely new concept in the study of the landscape and art will go on show at Scarborough Art Gallery in October this year. Landscape photographer Joe Cornish and painter Kane Cunningham will exhibit new and exciting work based on their own unique perspective of working in the local landscape. This new work has the art collection at Scarborough Art gallery at its heart; both artists used these collections as the starting point for this unique exhibition.
Gallery plays host to International Artists

Wreck Restored!

The Mysterious Affair at the Rotunda
29/03/2010 On Friday 5th March guests at the Rotunda stepped back in time for an evening of mystery with a fun historical theme. The event raised funds for the great Fossil Festival which will take place in June this year. The evening was a huge success and all targets were exceeded. East Coast Artists take to the walls with support from Pindar
17/12/2009 The forthcoming East Coast Open is an exhibition that shows a fabulous selection of work by amateur and professional artists working in and around the east coast. For the first time it will be preceded by ‘Open Up’ the children’s version of East Coast Open. Both exhibitions are being generously sponsored by Pindar enabling Scarborough Museums Trust to provide exhibition opportunities to artists of all ages.
